Visiting - Call Before Visiting
Sometime John needs rest more than visiting. Please call ahead to discuss visiting our home. | - Screening Visitors
It is very important that any visitors to our home have not been exposed to, or have, an infection. If you have a runny nose, cough, diarrhea or rash or have been near someone with one of these symptoms, it would be best to visit with John over the phone, not in our home. Chickenpox is also very dangerous for John to be exposed to. | - Prevention of Infection
We all have germs on our skins, in our mouth and bodies. During chemotherapy, John's immune system will be very weak, causing him to be extremely sensitive to germs and easily become sick. With just a fever of 101, John would likely go back in the hospital. | - Handwashing
Handwashing is the most important way to prevent infection and spreading of germs. If you come by and visit, we will ask you to wash your hands at our home when you arrive. | | Thank you for considering John's health and needs. |
