We are in need of a "special needs" stroller for John.  Due to John's size, he doesn't fit in normal size strollers and joggers, as we have tried quite a few.  We have been told of some brands and models that would work for John, but were hoping someone might have one already that we could borrow, as they are very costly.  We are looking for something that can easily be pushed back and forth to the hospital, preferable with at least 8 inch tires, as anything smaller can be difficult with all the curbs and street crossings.  We also need some that reclines and can be fully enclosed with a rainshield, as we never know what the weather will do. A swiveling front wheel is also important, as straight jogger style front tires are difficult to manuever in the hospital.  It also needs to fold up for storage and transporting in our car.

Here are John's dimensions that need to be accomodated, plus we would liike to have some growing room:

Foot to knee: 13"

Knee to waist: 15"

Waist to head: 23"

Shoulder width 14"

The following strollers have been reccomended to us:

Dreamer Design Axiom 2 - this stroller is the most adjustable of the two

Baby Jogger/Advanced Mobility Independence

After talking with our insurance company today, this will be covered as Durable Medical Equipment at no cost to us!

We are in need of a large stroller to transport John to all the various appointments at the hospital.  Since John weighs about 40llbs, most kids strollers are too small for him to fit in.  We think a three wheel stroller that folds up fairly compact, to put in the trunk of our car, would probably work well for him and would allow him to be more comfortable.  If you have an extra jogger type stroller that you would be willing to loan us for a few months, please contact us.

Need has been met, thank you.
